On May 23, Chicago honors one if its most important musical leaders – Paul Freeman. Maestro Freeman is the founder and musical father of the Chicago Sinfonietta, one of our city’s most beloved and important ensembles. Simply put, no musician or conductor has done more to bring together fine musicians of diverse backgrounds and programs which combine beloved classical favorites with new music. Freeman and incoming music director Mei Ann Chen will lead the orchestra on May 23rd at Symphony Center in Maestro’s final concert – broadcast live at 7:30 on WFMT.Paul Freeman and the Chicago Sinfonietta
