Evoking the American spirit, the Chicago Sinfonietta presents traditional songs from Shaker melodies to Negro spirituals.

The music comes alive in the deft hands of guest artist Christopher Parkening, voted "Best Classical Guitarist" in a nationwide poll. Baritone Jubilant Sykes brings a new dimension to the traditional with his vocal stylings.

Then, we cross the Atlantic Ocean to France when Stephen Alltop and members of the Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestras join together in Saint-Saens’ thundering “Organ Symphony.”
