Titilayo Ayangade

Titilayo Ayangade, cello Titilayo Ayangade is studying Cello Performance in the Master of Music program at Chicago College of the Performing Arts where she is a student of Karen Basrak. She obtained a B.M. from College-Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati where she studied with Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra Principal Cellist, Ilya Finkelshteyn. In addition to being a Project Inclusion Fellow with the Sinfonietta, she maintains an active orchestral and chamber music performance schedule and is a member of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago.

As an avid chamber musician Titilayo has performed for the Ying Quartet, St. Lawrence String Quartet, Tokyo Quartet, Harlem Quartet, Takacs Quartet, Catalyst Quartet, and the Vogler String Quartet. As a member of Thalia String Quartet she participated in the CCM Chamber Music Competition in 2011 and 2012 winning first prize both times. Titilayo has also participated in many new music performances and premieres. Titilayo also played at Classical Music Day at the White House in 2009 and appeared as a guest artist with the Cincinnati Symphony orchestra as a member of the Nouveau Chamber Players.

Titilayo has attended music festivals such as Bowdoin International Music Festival, Sphinx Performance Academy, Meadowmount Summer Music Festival, International Festival de Inverno Campos do Jordao, Aspen Music Festival, and the National Orchestra Institute (NOI). In addition to being a well-rounded musician, she is also a professional photographer.
